FREE RABIES CLINIC FOR DOGS AND CATS
The Board of Health, Borough Health Officer, Jad Mihalinec announced its free rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats on Tuesday evening, June 17, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The clinic will be located at the Ridgefield Ambulance Corps. Building, 403 Shaler Boulevard, and will be professionally staffed by Dr. Paul Kim, DVM.

Invitation to Borough Homeowners
Ridgefield Borough offers income-eligible Borough homeowners housing rehabilitation loans of up to $20,000 for basic repairs to their home. The loans are interest free and are only repaid when the house is sold.

Then, if you are interested in the Program, please download the pre-application form which also includes the State's income eligibility guidelines for the program. The income guidelines for the program are based on household size.
Owners of single-family homes are given priority. Owners of duplexes or other multifamily units can apply, though their application will be deferred until single-family household applicants are served. Different guidelines apply to multifamily structures, as well.

Housing Rehabilitation Program
Fire Department Wetdown On May 31st from 1-5 p.m
Event starts at 1:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM
Location: Ridgefield Community Center
On May 31st from 1-5 p.m. Rescue Company #2 will be celebrating the arrival of their new Rescue Truck with a Wetdown! Adults and kids alike are welcome to come. Live Band, DJ, Refreshments, and Activities for the kids, including Moon Bounce and Fire Truck Slide. Longhorn Steakhouse will be providing the food. Please come out and support the new edition to Ridgefield's Fire Department while enjoying a day of family fun.
Rain Date: Sunday, June 1st.

100 New Trees planted in Ridgefield
The total number of trees planted were 100, which includes trees that were planted at the small park at Rt. 5 and Ray Ave.
"We would like to thank the DOT for working with the Borough to beautify this area of Broad Ave."

Cellular Phone Use While Driving is Now a Primary Offense
Effective March 1st, 2008, the use of wireless hand-held telephones and electronic communication devices by the operator of a moving vehicle is a primary offense in New Jersey. This means that you can be pulled over and issued a ticket by a police officer for talking on your cellular phone or text/electronic messaging with a phone or PDA.

Pool registration starts March 31st and the "discount period" ends on May 3rd. So register early to
take advantage of the "discount period". The pool office is open Monday through Friday from
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring your 2007 badges with you when you come to register. For your
convenience you can register by mail by sending your registration form, check and proof of
residency to 604 Broad Avenue in care of the Ridgefield Pool.
We have additional hours for those residents who cannot make it during the day. We are open
on Friday, April 25th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 12
noon, Friday, May 2nd from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to
12 noon. These hours are in addition to our regular registration hours.
