Yard Waste Pick UP 2010

Automatic grass, yard waste & branch pick up at your curb begins on Tuesday,
April 27th. (west side & both sides of Shaler Blvd.) and Thursday.
April 29th. (east side).  This will continue until October 7th.
 Branches cannot be longer than 5 feet & must be either tied up in
bundles or placed in barrels.  All grass & yard waste must also be
placed in barrels or PAPER BAGS.  DO NOT USE PLASTIC BAGS.

Chief Stoltenborg worked for the Ridgefield Police Department for twenty-nine years. Members of his department, as well as other Borough employees gathered together over cake and coffee to wish him all the best in his retirement. The Ridgefield P.B.A. Local #330 plans on hosting a retirement party for the Chief on March 20th, 2010 at the Fiesta in Woodridge, NJ. Wolf Creek Clean Up

cleanup5.gif Many thanks to the Hackensack Riverkeeper and the amazing volunteers who participated in this successful clean up of Wolf Creek in Vet's Park on Jan. 16. Having above seasonal temperatures that day allowed a thorough clean up and what came out of the water truly surprised us all. The Borough of Ridgefield and its DPW and Environmental Commission are truly grateful for efforts of everyone on that day.

HENDRICK’S CAUSEWAY BRIDGE

ON OR ABOUT MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2009 THE HENDRICK’S CAUSEWAY BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED AT EDGEWATER AVENUE DUE TO THE REPLACEMENT OF THE BERGEN TURNPIKE BRIDGE. Effective March 1st, 2008, the use of wireless hand-held telephones and electronic communication devices by the operator of a moving vehicle is a primary offense in New Jersey. This means that you can be pulled over and issued a ticket by a police officer for talking on your cellular phone or text/electronic messaging with a phone or PDA.
